Prior to jumping into the legal world, Eric had his sights set on helping the public in other ways by working as an educator for teens and adolescents. He has previous work experience as both a history teacher and a program director who helped counsel troubled youths. Eric describes his legal approach as holistic in nature, preferring to understand the full breadth of what each client needs in order to best serve their legal and personal needs.

On a personal level, Eric is the rare single father who raised his daughter Violet on his own. When he's not putting together a strong legal defense, you can find Eric cheering on the Vikings or on one of Minnesota's many hiking trails, although his favorite is the Superior Hiking Trail in North Shore.
